Does anyone know what happened to the fightcapitalism.net domain? I need a leftist place to host a new web site for the northeast, preferably something that can abbreviate or redirect the rather lengthy web address we have right now.

You can go to a domain name registrar or InterNIC (which has the whois database) to search for available domain names. Once you find one you like, you can purchase it and go from there.

An aside: don't just buy the .org -- make sure to buy .com too. Most people, if they don't remember you have a .org, search .com reflexively. Plus, domain harvesters (those companies that put up splash screens instead of domains) will swoop in to buy .com when they find .org is purchased.
