They are making it impossible to have a proper discussion about anything by coming out with moronic stock statements about how shit communism is.

Well, unfortunately most 'opposers' who join up here are trollish to begin with -- so eager to tell us how we are wrong, how we are totalitarian murderers etc, which usually leads them to in a short time create a multitude of frankly quite inane posts. Some change with time and take effort in justifying their statements in debate, others just keep shouting without listening.

These people of the second type, the actual trolls, end up banned sooner or later -- but initially it's very hard to distinguish who belongs to which group. Therefore we have to let people post some and monitor their behavior, otherwise OI would soon be dead.

So, we have to be patient. Sad but true.. :(

When one is exposed to REAL Communism--it's a challenge. I grew up wil MILLIONS of pre conceived notions about what Communism is. I would expect most Americans (can't speak for other countries,) have had the same experience.

It takes a while to get over all that propaganda. Look at these guys--the first thing out of their mouths (and mine a while back): "The Soviet Union was Communist and it sucked!"

It takes a little bit of time and learning for the truth to be manifest. Hey, I still don't agree with all this Commie stuff--but after a while I've grown to RESPECT it's philosophical take on life.

It takes a while for respect to grow to be real.

Give these guys some time. :)

i think that IOer should have the right to take care of those fool. We should have at least 1 OI admin, that would have the power to ban OI only people.

I think you Communists (after the first couple of "fuck yous":lol:) are open and honest and really do want to make the world into a better place. You are idealistic, to be sure, but without that kind of idealism that you offer we'd all fall further and further into the morass of more of the same. You look to the stars. I can appreciate that.

You are (for the most part, of course) honest and thinking people that look around you and see the pain and suffering in the world and want to do something about it.

As philosophers of the world you are really good and well meaning and headed to the right end. I also would like a better world--but we differ on the means.

All that said--I'm learing a lot from your way of thinking. I'm not of the philosophy that there is "one way." And I've been learning a great deal from you here. I really, truly deeply think that Communism has a lot to offer the world. (I think your recient marketing plans [SU, China] sucked but you have the trolls to tell you that! :lol:)

Anyway--I've learned a lot from you, I look to learn more and I appreciate you company. Hale fellows well met. And if I give you an occasional jab now and then--it's all in the spirit of--well, I'm at a loss for words. I guess me being a pain in the ass. ;):lol:

I agree with you upto a point, when i first came on i wasnt a raving capitalist but i was a bit of a dick. But these people are fucking morons. Like GPDP said, no one called JohnMcain2008 is going to say anything of interest.

The past week or so has seen a few new trolls join and fail in weak attempts to break down communism/socialism. I find it entertaining actually, to see capitalists, who are brain washed, spew out so many inaccuracies and lies about communism/socialism.

However its times like these that I realize OI is a needed forum, even if I'm still stuck in it.
