hey, i am a member of a new group called the Revolutionary Unity Movement we are a Philadelphia-based social, political, and community organization. We seek to unite all of the revolutionary left tendencies in the city behind common goals and purposes.
R.U.M. can be defined by its three ideological principles:
1.) Empower and Unite
-Our society is full of problems and troubles in everyday life, with divisions among the people by race, gender, religion, and nationality.
-We control our destinies, and together, all problems can be solved. In unity, there is strength.
2.) Fairness
-Rich businessmen exist parasitically by living off of the value we create with our labor, and controlling businesses as dictators control governments.
-We must turn businesses in to the common property of the community, bringing democracy to the workplace, and rewarding those who work harder.
3.) Democracy and Freedom
-Political campaigns are too expensive for the average person to actually participate in. Democracy isn't democracy unless it is open to everyone.
-We must bring power down to our communities, and solve our problems from the ground up, and put an end unnecessary government involvement in our private lives.
For more information please check out on Facebook, sorry we haven't been able to really set up our own website yet just search us in groups
