I have one of their albums on my computer but I never gave it a thorough listen

They're alright. When it comes to Japanese punky-ish kinda stuff I can never really see past Shonen Knife.

They're very good, but for even better Japanese punk rock check out Teengenerate, a 90s no-fi trash punk band from Tokyo.

Since were also recommending other punkbands, I quite like Guitar Wolf.

Since were also recommending other punkbands, I quite like Guitar Wolf.

I interviewed them for a fanzine I was doing, but they hardly spoke any English. So they simply replied "yes" or "yes, we like" to every question...

Cool stuff.
We're you in Japan or were they where you live?

Naah, they were touring through my parts.

Interview excerpt -

Q: How has your tour been going so far?

A: Yes.

Q: So I take it it's been going well?

A: We like Johnny Thunders.

Wow I like Johnny Thunders too.
Damn, me and that guy could be brothers.

When was this?

Ska Ska Club is a sick Japanese ska-punk band.

Ska-punk is usually annoying as fuck, but since they're Japanese I think I might give them a go.

Good band, but as Nero said Teengenerate are better.
Have 2 The Stalin albums on mp3, never understood any of their texts but the tracks names in english kinda gives it away

No problem. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YEFGAK80 They have a bit of a pop touch to them, which I'm not a fan of, but they aren't bad, considering I got the album for free.
