What do you peeps think of them? I have a soft spot for trashy electro with attitude, and I must say I fucking love them.

Her stage act reminds me of Iggy Pop's circa Fun House era... like that famous footage from the 1970 festival (which I think is the only Stooges gig ever filmed?)

I take it Crystal Castles haven't taken the revolutionary left by storm? :)

Oh well, at least the three of us seem to like them.

Besides being very cool and putting on a great show, I find they have really interesting influences. It's not the usual "we're into New Order and a couple of recent electro acts". In fact, they're into really obscure noise and punk bands, it's just they wanted to do their own thing rather than copy their influnences - hence the electro and house sounds.

Anyway... they're brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Apparently they ripped some, but everybody does that. Led Zeppelin ripped their entire first album from obscure blues songs without crediting the composers. I don't really mind - it's not what you steal, it's what you do with it. :)
