No wonder there is no unemployment in the great socialist countries.

They have the over-birth picking rocks

CC will doubtless denounce these as fabrications.

Well a Neo-Nazi orginastion did produce a set of photographs which were forgeries (and have been proven to be by Jewish not Communist but Jewish groups) in the 80's which were endorsed by the Reagen administration but quite frankly I see little there to deny.

Two of the pictures could easily come from the war, where people took part in building defences outside the cities. One is a worker doing work, two are scenes from prisons with inmates arriving. I could show you a similar depressing scene from a UK prison or U$ one. A few are showing the 'Purges' so what? People were arrested, don't deny that but what you fail to say is that thousands were released when they appealled their cases and that those who had commited abuses of their power in positions of judges, officials or police were punished. A black man at the same in America wouldn't of even had the privalege to a fair trail, and their crime was being born, compared to acting as a Nazi spy or sabotaging which lead to workers being killed. Which land is 'Free' again? As for all this supposed 'Forced Labour'.

'In all the camps (housing a total of over 60,000) the working day has been set at 8 hours for the convicts. While receiving ample rations, and also monthly wages from 20 to 30 roubles in cash, the amount of work required from the convicts did not exceed that of the free laborer'

Now really what is this thread supposed to be proving? I will once again repeat that the U$A has today three million more people in prison than the USSR ever had. What's so hard to understand about that? Oh and 'Gulags' what are you talking about. There's a story about a Russian in America in the 90's, one American asks him 'What ever happened to the Gulags' the Russian replied 'Oh now that we are freinds they became prisons once again'.

US prisoners are not there for political reasons.

Neither were the vast majority of those in the Soviet Union.

But even those 'Political' prisoners weren't simply put in prison for having a opposing view. If that were true then Stalin would of had to of had alot of people shot since there were plays and party people who ridiculed the purges. Obviously people like Zinoviev and Kamenev commited their crimes for 'Political' reasons but murder is a crime in any country is it not?

I would like to ask all of the Cappies a question. What happened to all of the supposive political prisoners of the CCCP after 1991? Did they all disappear? Into air like a genie?

Wow, Chaik47 what a brilliant response.

'Your Ideas are dead' tell that to the people of Ecaudor where Communists just got elected, or Brazil and Venezuala where leftists have been elected. The ongoing peasant and worker struggle's from Nepal to Peru.
