Perhaps I'm bastardizing the quote by interjecting American semantics, but I just wanted to reflect on these past ten years. The older I get, the more I come to find socialism the only legitimate response to world problems.

“Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains. (http://thinkexist.com/quotation/any_man_who_is_under-and_is_not_a_liberal-has_not/15792.html)” Where does that leave Dubya? :laugh:

Kiss my ass, Killface--I have nothing good to say about Bush. (Unless you are being funny--you freaking British I CAN NEVER TELL. Anyway I'm drinking a nice Second [or is it third] growth Chateau Canteneac-Brown. so I may be mistaken.)

I'm not a liberal or a conservate--I want the best for people:

Doing well by doing good. What's the problem there?

Honestly--you don't think so?

Listen, I don't have your way about looking at the world--but do you honestly think I want to screw people over?

What's my motive? I've explained my reasons for doing what I do and being here in the first place.

What's your point?

Besides :lol::lol::lol: of course.

I always found it a very ironic quote given Churchill himself was a Conservative in his twenties and defected to the Liberals around the age of thirty :lol:

As Demogorgon notes, it's an intereseting quote because Churhill himself became more liberal over the years.

It's a funny quote, because most scholars of Churchill have absolutely no source for the quote, and say it doesn't exist.

Try and find a source for it.

This is another quote that has been manufactured by moderate right-wing fascists for the purpose of slander. Nothing unusual here.

The definition of "Liberal" and "Conservative" was not as it is now. What you deem "the left" was the Labor party, which he was not a member of. He moved back and forth based on (I believe) Party politics and a few (modernly) obscure issues. He also rejoined the conservative party later in life.

Oh and guys he was staunch imperialist (he opposed Ghandi and Indian freedom in the manner they got it) and staunch anti-communist,
