Hunger, war, attacks on living standards – how do we react
A meeting to discuss some of the most significant developments in the world situation in recent months: the end of the credit-fuelled ‘growth’ of the last decade and the spreading spectre of hunger all over the world; the brutal war in Georgia and the sharpening of global imperialist tensions; the mounting attack on working class living standards through inflation, redundancies and welfare cuts.
Faced with a system in evident crisis, what signs are there of a reaction by the exploited and the oppressed, what perspectives are there for a different form of society?
Short presentation followed by open discussion. All welcome.
