People have been claiming that history text books are unfair im going to test this theory, the extract is simmilar to many history books available and is not particualrly unique in content: - extract from history book, relating to the "Red Scare" of the 1920's.
---------------------
The Red Scare
In the 1920's, millions of Americans were benefiting from the economic boom. Consequently, people who criticised American socioty were called "un-American".
How widespread was political intolerance in the 1920's
Many Americans in the 1920's feared two groops in particular. One group were the anarchists, who believed that there should be no government or laws in society. The other was the communists who believed that the government should control all factorys.
Communism and Capitalism
The suspicion of communists or "reds" in America went back to the russian revolution of 1917. The new communist government had taken over all private fortunes, industry and land. In 1919, there leader, Lenin, set up an organisation called Comintern, dedicated to the spread of world communism. The American system is based on capitalism, which allows people to do what they like with their money. Under communism, socioty as a whole is more important than the individual. To americans, communism was a deadly disease to be feared and hated. This was in spite of the fact that only 0.1% of the population belonged to a communist or anarchist group.
The Palmer Raids
One man who particularly hated communism was A.Mitchell Palmer, the US Attorney-General. In the summer of 1919, a small group of Radicals bombed his house. The "reds" were blaimed and on New Year's Day 1920. Palmer ordered raids on the homes of suspected "reds". Over 6,000 people were arrested, most of them immagrants. No evidence could be found, yet many were jailed and deported. Finally, in May 1920, the raids were called off.
Why Was There So Little Protest?
Despite the fact that 6000 people had been wrongly arrested, there was very little protest against Palmer's actions. Fear of communism kept most Americans kept quiet.

Please give this a score out of 10 if you think that it is super Bias give it a 1, if its great and completely non bias. I wish to lay these accusations of History books being bias aside and eather prove it right or wrong.
