Why are leftists still attending school? Aren't leftists against the government? Isn't that hypocritical? yes it is. And why are so many of you anti war? dont you see that everything you have was given to you because of war? the protestors who are against war, have the right to express their opinion because of freedom of speech because it was gained by going to war. We won a war and got our right. war only gets us ahead, protesting won't get you anywhere, Bush will not turn his head to look at you, it is a waste of time to him. So why protest? War only gets us ahead. So get off the streets with these protests. They are useless.

Unleft. This tread is useless that you ahve just created. I ask why do all new rights, not all, but the brainless ones who do not understand what Socialism is, have to make threads like these??
Why are leftists still attending school?
To get an education.
Aren't leftists against the government?
No.
And why are so many of you anti war?
I am not against all wars. I am against wars of Imperialism. A socialist revolution would be a war I support.
dont you see that everything you have was given to you because of war?
Not exactly. Explain your point. I have my freedoms because of a piece of paper that was written by a bunch of lawyers in 1982, to protect what I have as a right from common law going back almost a thousand years.
the protestors who are against war, have the right to express their opinion because of freedom of speech because it was gained by going to war
Not completely true. It is, yes, a by product of war. But it would have come about eventaully. But you by saying this stand up as a hypocrite "You are free to say wahtever, excepting/...."
So why protest? War only gets us ahead.
At the costs of others, which is not right.

Ahhh, poor crazy pete, so in denial.when the U.S. wanted something or dissagreed with something they went to war, well most of the time any way. Going to war gets us ahead "at the price of others" yes a small price i am willing to pay, this war is necessary, Sadam is a threat to us all, and just imagine as soon as we win this war how powerful we will be. This war was and is unstopable, it was coming and people knew. So why the hell protest? its useless stop it. idiots

You're totally full of shit, unleft.
Just because somebody disagrees with how things are done, that's no reason to cripple your own life in such a direct way. That is why people go to school - where else will they get an education? It is also against the law not to go to school, right?
"war" is not just some term which can sum up an entire situation - different wars are fought for different reasons.
The war on Iraq. The way I see it is about a few different things: [list]
Establishing control in the Middle East.
Taking away attention from the home front.
Re-election.
Testing weapons.
Showing military power to intimidate.
Oil.
anti-Islamic sentiments.
A lack of understanding of cultural differences.[list]
This war is going to result in more bitter feeling towards the US. Feelings similar to those of Osama bin Laden. Understandable feelings.
The despair (and with it, the viciousness) of those Palestinians whose economic and civil rights are being oppressed by Israel shall rise. Justifiably.
You're totally full of shit, unleft.

ok another thread about how saddam is to be removed and bush is a liberator. go check the rest of the forum dude there's plenty of discussions on that topic already.
So instead of talkin shit, take the time to see what others have already written about that, and then make some decent judgment.
Unlike war gets us ahead... go tell that the vietnamese people, or the palestinians, or the lebanese.... depends on WHO gets ahead, and WHO doesnt.

Like Chiak47 said commies deserve education too. And education should be free, which it is so why not take advantage of it while its available. Plus, like canikickit says, its against the law not to go to school so shut the hell up.

The feelings of the majority must be expressed. otherwise where is the democracy? You are the idiot if you think people should stop doing something merely because those in powere do not care. If people took that attitude where would we be?
[list]No voting rights for the majority.
No voting rights for any women.
No land ownership rights for the majority.
No property rights for the majority.
etc.[list]
I could go on, but not really off the top of my head. It's not as if we can get on a boat and sail off to the "new world" to rape and kill and subjugate indigenous peoples, is it? That wouldn't be very original.

What are you talking about?
No, I don't like Religion, but that doesn't mean I support war mongering on the basis of anti-Muslim feelings. I'd rather people be religious directly than racist directly.

1) We defend human rights regardless of religion.
2) Not all socialists are against religion. Take for example Christian Socialists, Catholic Worker movement... etc...
Your thinking about Stalinists

first - it sounded like some sort of racist approach.
second - we defend the Iraqi civilians situation of oppression, let it be from Saddam or from Bush's imperial war. If you talk about standing up for Islam, you sure mean that this war has something to do with it? I don't recall anybody here standing up for their right to practice Islam in Iraq (when was that so much threatened in this war??) as much as for their civil and human rights, regarding the current situation.
i just don't see where you're going with this! Canikickit is right! Pull yourself together and write something coherent.

Well I stand corrected.
See even capitalists need free schooling.
Canikickit stated in his "list" that we were targeting Iraqi's cause they were people of Islam.
Which is crap imo.Oil maybe but not religion.
I was confused on the different levels of reds.
Hell I thought they were all the same.See you taught me something.

I agree with you there. Iraq is not an Islamic state, and in fact is the most west leaning one.
