"There are many steps that should be taken to prevent Universal HC. One is to give Physicians actual tax write-offs for seeing a legitimate indigent patient. This would end Medicaid. Check the Fed. CFR's. HC has been reg. to death! Malpractice is the next step!"

So..someone said in a debate on health care.
As far as I know, there are some regulations of some sort that relate to safety standards, but I don't see how they're saying that American heath care has been regulated.
Personally, I would see health care as a basic human right. In fact, I would see it as a cornerstone to all rights. Even freedom of speech cannot be guaranteed if one is made too ill to speak by a preventable or at least treatable disease!

I guess most if not all here would agree with you. So, what is your point? Why start this thread?

I don't think you will see free heathcare in the US now .Way too ultra conservative.

Many web sites I go to people just do not want it.The people love privatization in the US that is the mentality. The same for prisons and ambulance is private.

Well it will not be long to the police and army is private. The US is experiencing a wave of fear and hatred that manifests itself in the political phenomenon of conservatism.

Yeah, thanks. Just wanted to know what they could possibly have meant by regulation, as I didn't know much about the "Code of Federal Relations" and its impact on health care.

Healthcare in the US is barely regulated at all, my guess is it was a right-wing nut trying to pull one over the people he was arguing with by making things up
