anyone think that the 'domino theory' [the predicted outcome of the cold war] will happen in the middle east?

If Iran has sided with Iraq, they will probably be next in line...

In the long term the US will make money by taking the resources of the middle east.

I think it is interesting how only two out of the three member-states of the so-called Axis of Evil have been targeted by American imperialism, those two countries being Iraq and the DPRK. Why has Iran been left out of the equation? Perhaps once the Saddam Hussein government has been toppled in Iraq America’s attention will turn to Iran once again.

No, the axis of evil consists of only three states. Libia and Cuba were named as states that sponser terrorism, however...Ridiculous, of course, in the case of Cuba. Remember when the media was reporting that Cuba was sending birds infected with the West Nile Virus to kill our troops and leaders? That was certainly an odd accusation.

On the issue of the domino theory, it's nothing but a propaganda tool of the Bush administration. An official in the state department leaked an official document debunking the myth. Nobody in power takes it seriously but it is a useful thing to tell people.

plus look how much its cost(in terms of money).

It hasn't and wont cost the people who declared this war a cent, in fact they will profit from it.

It is a mistake to think that the American people are the ones who have financial interests at heart, it is a small section of america, the rest have been persuaded to take a side but they are not the ones actually promoting the war.

In this as in almost everything one should look for the class aspect; national interests are just a way for the elite class to disguise the actual situation.
