Your argument is flawed in the fact that any leftist, even if they believed the Iraqi's want liberation, still believes that the U.S. interest is not the liberation of the Iraqi people. In addition, many believe that even if the Iraqi's want liberation it is not the job of a larger foreign power to give it to them in this manner.

In the documentary The Panama Deception, a great job is done of showing what the commercial media will show and what they wont show. While the people filming the documentary were in the ghettos where peoples homes had been torched and people were living in small cubicles inside of huge warehouses, the corporate media was nowhere near by; they were in the rich areas, talking to people who waived the american flag. so, in the ghettos you have masses of people wanting to US to leave, wishing they had never come, and on the other side you have a tiny minority of people happy that the US has come.

i can only imagine how it is over in Iraq right now.

an Iraqi immigrant in my town said that after wednesday night, their family back in Iraq had no water, and was forced to leave their home in search of water. sounds similar to the gulf war if you ask me.
