after 23 year, i finally made peace with money.
i always considered money has a dirty thing that hampered my freedom of action, but now i realize that at the end, money is nothing more than a tool.
even if money is a great tool, it dosnt mean i depend of it to do great things or to prosper, i just have to be more inventive, more ingenious to get the stuff i need and do stuff i want to.

i have always made wise economical choice to counter money, but at the end, i should do those thing for myself, not for beat the system but for enhencing my living standard.

In theory money is a means of exchange, but in practice it has many effects on society. That being said I am at an utter loss as to how society could function without a means of exchange, so unless we can demonstrate a labour credit system to work on a large scale basis (we know it works on a small scale basis already), it is our job as socialists to come up with an alternative monetary system without the negatives of the current system.

Money is a tool. And just like any other tool it can do a lot of good and it can also do a lot of damage if used incorrectly.

If I were to suggest if a guy like you, the best thing you can do is practice ways to use the tool to it's best ability. Don't use it wildly, always, always budget. And make sure the budget is in WRITING. Figure out your expenses and make sure before you do anything else--those are paid. Then figure out how much is left over to save--and make that part of your budget. Always save if you have any money over every month. Even if it is a few dollars. It's a good habit to have. Also, try to get rid any debt you may have aquired--nothing drags you down quicker than debt--and make sure you REALLY go out of your way never to aquire any debt. If you don't absolutely need something (life and death) and can't afford it--don't buy it.

As for a more controversial suggestion--tithe. Give some money away to charity. I have always given 10%, you could give whatever you like but along with budgeting your savings--budget you giving.

Remember NEVER spend what you don't have.

You do that and you'll live pretty well until the Revolution comes, of course. ;)

so unless we can demonstrate a labour credit system to work on a large scale basis

Individuals' hourly incomes would be, not necessarily equal, but, I believe, unequal within small ranges, according to the degrees of sacrifice associated with each hour of work, the degrees of strenuousness of each types of work, as recognized by public policy. Prices of goods would be set according to their cost of production. All kinds of work would have to overproduce to a degree, compared to everyone's purchasing power, so that we could get back some of productivity in indirect forms, such as education and medical services.

(we know it works on a small scale basis already)

I would say: its on a small scale that such a system cannot work. A labor credit system requires that each industry be a department of a single economic network of all industries, with a common inventory, otherwise there would be no way for an industry to obtain the buildings, machinery and materials it needs to operate, and no way for individual consumers to purchase a wide variety of goods.
