Greetings brothers and sisters.
My name is Lee from England, Babylon. I'm 38 and a community worker in my home town. I've got a half decent understanding of Socialism and Communism but would like to learn more which is part of the reason I joined. At the moment I'm one of those people who has got a clearer understanding about what I'm against than what I'm for. Some books that have shaped my learning are Malcolm X speaks, Che Guevara - a revolutionary life, Why do people hate America?, Orientalism, Manufactruing Consent, Travelling with Che Guevara and Long Walk to Freedom. I've just started reading a book called Gramsci's political thought which is really good. I'm impressed with the theory of Hegemony which Gramsci adapted from Lenin.
Well I'm sure I'll get to know a few of you soon enough and look forward to learning and having some good discussions.
