As DC said, its the moment we've all been waiting for.

Commie pukes, kick back, relax, and take a good hard look at true world leadership.

We will settle for nothing less than victory.

It doesn't disturb me that you want an oppressive dictator removed, it disturbes me that you can know that innocent Iraqis will die and not care at all. There are alot of pro-war people that are level-headed and respect Iraqi lives, but you and DC seem to just take pleasure in innocent death of any sort. You are no better than Saddam.

Oh, how I hope this become another Vietnam.
Although I find it unlikely

I don't recall me or CI ever saying that we took pleasure in the taking of innocent lives. We're for the liberation of the Iraqi people. However, if push comes to shove and a few civilians end up dying well then there's nothing we can do about it but look twards a brighter future for those still living.

Never let a few thousand innocent deaths get in the way of your ideals, spoken like a true madman.

It is unfortunate that there could possibly be civilian deaths in this war, for many of them don't support saddam and would like to live free from his oppressive regime.

What I do take pleasure in, however, is the INDISCRIMINATE SLAUGHTER of those who do support Saddam. For those who do truly support such I tyrant I would see there entrails blasted across the hot sands of the Iraqi dessert. May the Tigris and Euphrates run crimson fucking red with their blood. We'll see the Iraqi people liberated and the destruction of tyranny in the middle east.

I am sure you do, because that is how all of you started your posts tonight, I am truly sorry that innocent people are going to die...

You guys didn't start with shit about drinking beers, or being elated or anything like that.

Oh I guess somebody just had to remind you to be human, because looking like a souless madman is bad.

Give me a fucking break. Human casualities, innocent ones should be at the top of everybody's fucking mind.

you're right, it's ok that 500 000 people are expected to die in three weeks. as long as we have the oil.

fucking disgusting, inhumane pig, your excitation at death and destruction deeply saddens and angers me. Once again, hundreds of thousands die to propogate fascism across the world.

goddammit, if I believed in bannings, no one, NO ONE, would deserve it more than people supporting genocide in this way. at least some try to make it sound like they regret the deaths, you not only celebrate it, but climax to it.

I'm sure that is how Saddam felt before he gassed innocent people. It all comes down to different morals, who are you willing to kill and how many to achieve your goals.

So you want to ban me for expressing a contrary opinion? I explicitly stated I felt it was unfortunate that civilians might die. What else do you want.

Ok, here are some points for all you pro-bush pals out there. Don't be offended. Just read and think about it.

Talking about liberation...decades ago there was a country called chile which was liberated from it's legal elected socialist president Salvador Allende and his administration. Handed over to a Madman and his military junta. All blessed by the US. No one cared about the people that suffered under the Pinochet-Regime, in fact some of our wise western leaders shaked hands with him and called him a good friend (such as Maggie Thatcher and Helmut Kohl)
So many casualties...but who cares? At least they're liberated casualties, so don't look back in anger and let's fuck up the next country.
Don't get me wrong, I agree that Saddam has to leave cause he's a fucking opressor of the iraqi people.
But I believe it's better to let 99 guilty men go free than kill one innocent, call me a dreamer if you wan't.

And at least, for all you guys out there talking about the world ruler US of A...ever heard about the roman empire, france under Napoleon or the Third Reich?
There were so many on the surface of this planet and none of them lasted forever.
History is damned to repeat itself, think about it...

I'm disapointed that so many are proud of America's almighty army. Does anyone have any forthought of what course the US is on? Globilization is the virus of society. I'm an American citizen, and I get no pride in my country for being able to bomb any country into the stone age. No one will be able to dispute our will. Might does make right. Which is why our society proves to be nothing more than the state of nature. Humanity has a much higher goal to achieve than what Bush's grand vision may entail.

True, Saddam should be removed from power, but war is not the way to do it. War is a way to gain our own control of Iraq. I gaurantee, the Iraqi people will not benefit from the US envasion to any near degree that those of you who support the war may believe. The ones that are going to most benefit from this war, are the ones that started the war. It is going to be Bush and some very wealthy, powerful Americans.

COMPLETELY straying from the point (or maybe straying from the conversation point and back to the actual topic title point), I'm not convinced by this "Shock and Awe" thing.

Maybe my view has already been presented, but I think the "Shock and Awe" plan and the actual weapon if it is the fear of it. It's all pyschological in other words.Mind games.

Just a side point, watching this all on TV in incredible. They say you should always create a positive from a negative....the benefits of TV coverage are awesome! Haven't missed a minute outside school hours!

Captialist have no balls, their cowards and can only hide behind their web of lies. But its not really a problem, since those lies will one day choke them to death. America is not the first empire to treat others with extreme cruelity...and each of those countries in history that have done simlair actions have been destoryed once the oppressed nations rose up. America will be no different. Only problem, i believe, in that America's children will pay. These fucks that sit in suits and think they have balls because they can scam 18 year old kids to fight for them will probally be long gone by then and rotting in hell with their follow cowards(also known as Captialist

So what then? More years of diplomacy? How many? You want another 12 years? 12 more years of sanctions. But what happens then... millions of Iraqi's starve and die of easily cured disease because they have no drugs. While that's going on, let's just sit back and be diplomatic while Saddam gases a few thousand more Kurds yeh? Why not.....

BECAUSE ONLY A BUNCH OF IDIOTS WOULD LET THAT HAPPEN THATS WHY NOT.

Sod all your UN resolutions. I don't support the fact that the Allies are going to war because Saddam has weapons of mass destruction. I do support this war on the basis that I am a human being. And millions of my species are being killed, both directly and indirectly, by an evil tyrant.

Why are you all so synica? You all KNOW that Bush/Blair are going to use the oil for their own beneift. You all KNOW that Bush/Blair are going to force their hegemony into Iraq. Some things must be taken at face value. I don't like my Prime Minister, but I trust that he will use the oil for the benefit of Iraqi's. It is Iraq's main source of massive income and I believe that it will be used for Iraq's benefit. I also trust that the Iraqi people will be able to decide on their next government.

On the issue of this war I am neither a "cappie" or a "commie". Neither right nor left. I am just a human.

War is the answer this time. The only thing left that will solve this situation. More diplomacy means more torture for Iraqis and Kurds

"Americans very good," Ali Khemy said. "Iraq wants to be free."

Some chanted, "Ameriki! Ameriki!"

Many others in the starving town just patted their stomachs and raised their hands, begging for food.

A man identifying himself only as Abdullah welcomed the arrival of the U.S. troops: "Saddam Hussein is no good. Saddam Hussein a butcher."

An old woman shrouded in black — one of the very few women outside — knelt toward the feet of Americans, embracing an American woman. A younger man with her pulled her away, giving her a warning sign by sliding his finger across his throat.

In 1991, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis died after prematurely celebrating what they believed was their liberation from Saddam after the Gulf War. Some even pulled down a few pictures of Saddam then — only to be killed by Iraqi forces.

Gurfein playfully traded pats with a disabled man and turned down a dinner invitation from townspeople.

"Friend, friend," he told them in Arabic learned in the first Gulf War.
