He has announced to the house of commons we will be going to war in 48 hours. Even though NO-ONE IN THE COUNTRY wants to go to war. A great democratic system. Majority rule, Bull shit. This has really PISSED ME OFF.
Assylum Seekers escape now, while you can. Blair is on a rampage. Voting public ignored, welcome to the [b]DICTATORSHIP[b]
The best part is that before the house of commons had even had the second debate the bombing had been ordered. My friend from school, his dad is in the RAF, with relativley high rank. And he told my friend that the orders had been made, to bomb Iraq a day or so ago to coinside with the debate from parliment. This suggests that the desision was preordained. So what was the point in having a debate in parliment exactly???
SO SODDING ANNOYING

weren't you for the war a couple of weeks ago? anyway, yeah i agree with you (reluctantly). Blair is a dictator. its the argument over what politicians are; delegates for the public, or elected to make the calls themselves. with this modern day 'democracy' of big business funding and little choice or difference between parties, i'd suggest the first option should be better. shame Il Duce Blair doesn't seem to think so.

Blair should be kicked out of England, he is not talking for the majority of the people living there...
A big and important country like England should support peace, not WAR!

There is a similar situation in Australia. John Howard said that he will back the US without UN approval despite the fact that most Australians don't support the war without UN backing.

I agree very much that England is not a country that has traditionally entered war unprovoked and nor should it. Blair is a traitor to remove our national consciousness.

We just need some cabinet members to resign as protest. Then it would be identical.
I love seeing Blair 'defend' his stance as a lappy.

democracy? you think America will install democracy? or there half-assed version of what they call democracy? like what happened in Afghanistan? anyone who thinks Iraq will turn into a western style government is deluding themselves. warlords or Islamic fundamentalists is what my moneys on.

No mis understanding here. This post is about the failing of British democracy. The Morals of the war whether right or wrong are a different dispute. This is ABOUT Blair being a dictator who's fucking with our democracy.

the argument used by Il Duce would be that he was elected to make the tough calls. this episode with Iraq has single handedly made me lose all faith i had in representative democracy like its used today. only when we rule ourselves and not simply tick a ballot box for a dictator to rule us, will we have true democracy.
for once, AK, i agree with you.
lets make sure it doesn't happen again :)
