Not trying to spread rumors. But have heard a report of 2 prisoners held by American forces in Kandahar dying under torture recently. Can anyone confirm or cast doubt?

What's your source?

I can infatically deny those charges. The U.S. military does not use torture methods for two reasons.

1.) We would be sinking to the level of the vile ooze we aim to destroy.

2.) We want to keep the moral high ground. By abiding by the Geneva Convention we have every reason to demand that our prisoners of war be treated in a just manner. By employing torture tactics, this will open the gamut for our enemy to use whatever methods they choose. Of course, there is no reason to expect that they would not already do this, but in this war the court of public opinion is very important.
