Comrade Larissa, with respect, your post is a little misleading. The US supported side lost in some of the countries listed such as China and in other countries such as Iran, the government wasn't and hasn't changed.

In Korea's case, the country was divided. I think South Korea takes better care of its people than North Korea.

From your post, it would seem the peace movement has low standards.

“I think South Korea takes better care of its people than North Korea.”

What a capitalist thing to say!

I think, perhaps, you should look into the history of the Republic of Korea (South) and you'll see that the Korean people in the south have suffered as many American backed dictatorships as many Latin American countries.

Comrade thursday night is right. The ROK was under military dictatorship up until 1992.

You did not suggest that the ROK was not under military dictatorship, you only said that the South takes better care of its people. There are a great many things that have stood in the path of the developement of the DPRK, so you would certainly be correct in saying that the South is more affluent.
