Hi, I was reading through Georgi Dimitrov's selected works today and I found a gem of information that really explained things. He has brilliantly laid out to the comrades in the party about the new tasks the party needs to for fill. A fighting party of the working class to a governing party of the working class.
Bulgaria after WW2 became a people's republic, and it had a governing Coalition of worker's partys called the Fatherland Front.
He made a speech entitled the Historic Mission of the Bulgarian Worker's Party. Which describes maintaining party discipline against Sectarian and Opportunism.
The Worker's Party had very limited experience governing, a few townships here and there prior to the 1923 coup d'etat. Upon the Defeat of Fascism, the party had to mature itself to a stable governing party capable of securing the trust of the working people. I believe much can be learned from Dimitrov's experience.
Unfortunately this work is not available online. Which I think is a tragedy because he was one of the greatest minds of the 20th Century.
However another good article in relation to this is available online.

I suggest comrades look it over, it is a brilliant view on what a worker's government may also look like. Though maybe not as ideal as the Soviet Government. I will try in the future to get his works online.
For now a similar topic inquiring about the role of the Fatherland Front is a good light read,
