OK, should something absolutely horrible happen tomorrow(Bush declares martial law, or something of that magnitude in another country, etc.) and a revolution is needed, what do we do? Is there a plan for said revolution? As naive as this question sounds, I think it's something we should be thinking about.

I was at the Republican Convention with some other trouble makers. We couldn't even get a good half-assed riot started, so what the fuck are you talking about?

No. If Bush openly declared martial law, there's not really any need for a plan. People hate Bush, they simply wouldn't stand for it. There are almost more guns than Americans in the US, and not too many police or soldiers. It would simply be a massacre. I'm sure a large portion of the military would turn against him as well. The military is largely composed of people from poor communities who can't find other jobs, and need college money. If they were ordered to shoot American citizens, I suspect they would turn their guns on whoever gave them the order. Granted, a lot of the military is full of racists and statists as well, but the thing is that there wouldn't be unity. There would be spies, saboteurs, rebellions, fragging, and people going AWOL; the army would implode. The main battle would be the people vs. the police, and the people have a lot more guns.

Also, to the post above me, I'd recommend deleting or editing that. Here's why. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTQXRI_IaEE)

You can't plan for a revolution. The installment of martial does not equal a revolution. In fact, if martial law were declared today I can gurantee the result would not be working class revolution. The material conditions for it just currently do not exist.

It seems like you may be new to revolutionary politics, you've got to understand that while you should act like the revolution is tomorrow (read, talk, organize, debate, etc) you've got to come to grips with the fact that you will probably never see revolution. I think if more people let that sink in when they first get involved then we would have a lot less people getting burned out.

if this hypothetical revolution broke out, you know what I would do?

grab my gun and backpack, fill it with some food and water and ammo, hook up with my buddies and start raising hell until we ran into a larger more organized faction

It would appear to me that there would of been if the police didn't crack down on everybody.

if this hypothetical revolution broke out,...

+1 I believe that we are coming upon a time when we will have to do this. We are becoming a police state.
