What is wrong with the shaft of a cock?
It's an insult, there doesn't have to be anything inherently wrong with the shaft of a cock for that to be the case, after all there isn't anything wrong with masturbation either but "tosser", "wanker" and variants are all insults are they not?

That is what tosser and wanker come from? lol I thought you people just loved to make up funny words, :P
More seriously, so would it be ok to start calling people a *****, or the "n" word?
Or the "s" word, lol

"You people"? Yeah - two of the (many, many, many) terms for masturbation are "to wank" and "to toss [oneself] off".
More seriously, so would it be ok to start calling people a *****, or the "n" word?
No. Other connotations are added to those words (or in the case of "nigger" the word is all about insulting people for being a certain thing).
Or the "s" word, lol
You've stumped me. Of the "s" words I know the only one that fits the bill would be "slut" and that's a word with a great deal of controversy around it, hell the first argument I had [and lost] on revleft was about it - and I wasn't on the side you would expect :p

"You people"?
To know, black people. :p Actually you people as in all you English, all you guys across the great pond. :)
Yeah - two of the (many, many, many) terms for masturbation are "to wank" and "to toss [oneself] off".
While I have heard of the phrase "to wank" being used to describe it I have never heard of the phrase "to toss [oneself] off" being used to describe it. So if someone calls me a wanker I should take that as a complement then,
(or in the case of "nigger" the word is all about insulting people for being a certain thing).
Actually I didn't mean it when used as an insult to a black person, but when used to describe something, like nigger rigging, or nigger technology.
You've stumped me.
It's from The Boondocks, :) Oh, and it stood for spearchucker.
and I wasn't on the side you would expect :p
 Is it the sign of the end times?

If you want, but consider that a lot of what is insulting about being called a tosser isn't the meaning of the word, but the intent of it. If I added enough venom to it one could call you pretty much anything (shoelace, corkscrew, doorhandle, whatever) and make it seem pretty insulting.

No, considering the additional history of the word it is still unacceptable.

Ah, I never really encountered the boondocks (I only heard of them having come here). I'm surprised I didn't think of "spearchucker" having been called one by implication fairly recently (the exact phrase was something about my chucking spears in africa but the intent seemed the same).

One of the funnist insults i have ever read was survivealist nerd for christ.
Said by no other than the master himself.

True, especially if it was coming from you, :p

Thats how I always took it.

Great cartoon, I highly recommend it, :)

Your not black are you? I think I remember seeing a picture of you, and you were white.

Tosser: I had assumed that it meant to vomit--In America Tosser dosn't mean to masterbate (or I at least I have never heard it used that way)--it means to "toss one's cookies."
Interesting.

And America is the greatest country in the world so all "you people" now have to conform with our use of insults,
Interesting.
Actually I find stuff like that interesting to. I have always had a slight interest in learning the etymology of words, although not such an interest that I will go out of my way to learn it lol.

... Probably not anymore. Although I did learn a few things, :)

Look behind you... :ninja:  Actually it was on the chat a long time ago, before the age of the restricting. You had posted it once.

Its ok to call anyone anything, if your trying to insult them, but you gotta accept the consequences of trying to insult someone.
I think its funny how the word 'gay' is used, like people saying "thats so gay, I don't mean gay gay, I mean GAY." Considering that the stereo type of gay men going to the gym and being buff is around, especially in parts of hollywood, I think that word might change its meaning, like "Man that guy looks real gay, I'm not gonna mess with him, he could kill me."

Heh, more than likely. And, yeah, I'm not black.
Anyway, thread is now closed.
