I think I actually joined this place about a year ago, but I have no idea what my ID was, or my password. Once upon a time I was an unorganized anarchist. I am still pretty unorganized, but these days I am a fulltimer for Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna, the swedish section of the Committe for a Worker's International, and a self-professed trotskyist.

If he is a full-timer for the CWI, why would he go back to the days of not being paid for his activism!

Welcome to the board.

Any serious organization, that is actually growing and in need of full-time workers to undertake everyday tasks of the organization will need to pay employees to do these things.

A party needs full timers. This is a "natural" division of labour within any organisation that is growing in size. But don't worry; if you believe money is a problem that concider that the CWI states it only pays its full timers the wage of a common worker - just like they did in the Commune of Paris. If the CWI is doing its job well than a party's full timer should be able to be recalled by its membership. Those two mesurements inable the rank and file to keep in control of the party's "elite".

Well, not in my opinion no. It was the severe ideological confusion within the "movement" that made me stop being an anarchist, it was the convincing practice of the CWI that made me join them. And through praxis I became a trotskyist.

Considering I am payed less than what is considered minimum to pay to afford all base expenses such as food, clothing and housing, and that I work five days a week from 8-7, plus additional activism on weekends, well, you know. I could probably get a regular job and recieve over 5 times what I am payed right now. So I don't really see the selling-out part.

Well, yeah whetever I will become a "real" full-timer will be deicided at the next congress by the party members. As you say full timers can be recalled by the membership at any time. After all it's our money.

i was answering where Isaak told that why would you want to come back to Anarchism,if CWI are paying you to be active.I was reffering to his post.I understand it as he was saying why be an Anarchist and get nothing for it,and not be a trotskyit and payed.Thats what i was reffering as a selling-out.
Same for Rakunin answer^.
