I really like the hard-rock techno industrial stuff by them. Extremely pop, without the inane lyrics. The Knife is kind've similar, I love them as well.

Any other bands like this I should know about?

cos in with the knife type genre i could say Crystal Castles, Alice Practice is their best song.

I love that song. Honestly, that album was only worthwhile on account of that song. Before that release, I had loved "Light and Magic" and "604 / True Mathematics." I actually ignored Velocifero for a long time because the album before that was total shit.

And yes, I love artists ranging from the really serious Leonard Cohen and Snog to the playful Ladytron and The Knife.

listen to real music like gogol bordello and people tapping spoons on their legs
