I'm looking for good critiques of rational choice theory, voluntarism or, indeed, any of those arguments which try and play down the material and ideological limitations on human action and thought and which often pretend that we exist as individuals in bubbles of unrestricted choice and freedom.
Any arguments or link would be appreciated!

Look for "The Approach of Ecological Economics" by John Gowdy, and Jon D. Erickson. It's good in comparing the classic liberal and neoliberal economic theory to the new ecological economics coming out. If you can't find it I have a copy., it's a PDF.
