Hi comrades,
First of all , i cannot thankyou enough fo making a sub-forum for econ.
My specific question is with regards to baran and sweezey and their specific work. From what i've heard they added on to marxism-leninism new concepts that actually emphasizes these new concepts and they didn't accept the value theory so these concepts should be seen in that light. Personally i read some parts of monopoly capital a couple of years ago and got caught with the pop psychology portion:wub:

Actually, they said that there was a relationship between capital accumulation and crisis, monopoly, and imperialism. Lenin linked the last two, but they mentioned that one Kalecki linked the first two.

I haven't read Monopoly Capital or Theory of Capitalist Development, but they're both on my Amazon wish list. Here (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1132/is_v38/ai_5044275) is a good interview with Sweezey that first got me interested in reading his books. The Einstein piece that they refer to in the interview is here (http://www.monthlyreview.org/598einst.htm) (it's also on my profile aamof).
