Sectarianism factions of Marxism centered around specific persons -- Jacob Richter's "circleism" -- seem to me an archaic mode of historical analysis that will be relegated to the past. The coming world-wide revolution will most likely split along lines caused by access to technologies that transform economic production in ways inconceivable in the present, e.g., nanotechnology, and their uneven distribution.

I agree. People just look at the socialist experiments that have occurred and determine what seems to be their favorite revolutionary/theorists. I think eventually, a coming world-wide revolution would bring about unique circumstances that we would have to deal with. Our revolutionary forefathers could never have imagined what just may occur.
