The South Korean government has issued arrest warrants for the entire leadership of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and several of its affiliates. Union leaders are holed up in the KCTU headquarters in Seoul, the building now surrounded by riot police.
LabourStart has been asked by the KCTU to organize a big international campaign to send messages of protest, demanding an end to the arrests and respect for human rights. Please make sure you send off your protest message today from http://www.labourstart.org/kctu and spread the word to your friends and fellow trade unionists.
There is also a Facebook Cause promoting the same issue -- please sign up to that and add it to your profile. Details here: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/107071
Let's go viral with this one, and get 10,000 messages sent to South Korea this week!
