i think ethics is verry important in all society, but it seem to me that a lot of dogma both in capitalist and communism took place in history.

during a certain time, communist regimes banned resrarch on robotics and genetics beccause it was bourgeois science.

even today, many capitalist/free market society are imposing themselves limit for things like cloning and genetic research.

are those limits really necessary?
i mean, if we dont start to massively experiment and search in those field, other will eventually, its already begun at some extend, researcher looking for a drung that would be given to athlete, that will interfere with their main DNA and give them more power, all that carried illegally with private company money.

many field of research are still taboo, psychics sciences for exemple.

should we massively study them without taboo, or at some extent avoid them?

research into the fields of the paranormal and psychic abilities are taboo, they're ridiculous. shits faker than the moon landing.
srsly tho,
taboos on genetic research are small minded and ridiculous. limiting science because of religious concerns is foolish, especially when you look at the good that can come from stem cell research, cloning, etc.

still, we should be careful playing in these field, but i agree we should definitively study those.

when i was refering to psychic science, i was talking about thing like telekinesis, and other LOGICAL psychic phenomenon. some scientist actually found verry interesting stuff about it, but has i mentionned, many taboo in that domain. the human being only use a small part of its brain, i think its under 10%, imagine what we would be able to do with 20%.

that 10% only stuff is garbage. we use it all, but not all parts of it are active at once. i find the phrase "LOGICAL psychic phenomena" to be counter-intuitive at best. psychic phenomena is largely bullshit, and hardly any of the pseudo-science surrounding it could be called logical.
