That depends on what kind of socialist it is. I'll guess the person in question would advocate some form of state, as well as interventionism and maybe more labour union control.

In short, it could be anything from a social democrat, to a chavista, to some form of African Socialist or Arab Socialist, or any other form of populism, including the Huey Long brand.
