View Full Version : Why stick around?

I just wanted to ask our cappies here; what draws you to revleft?
Do you enjoy our online community of fine individuals (restricted and/or non-restricted members)?
Do you just enjoy a widely diversified debate among individuals who's ideologies differ considerably from your own?
Or do you just like yelling/flamming at socialists?
Or is it something else?
I'm just curious as to why a cappie would stick around for so long. I know that I would never be able to stand a cappie of fascist forum; even for the purpose of debate or flamming.
I have a couple of conservative friends in the real world, but we tend to go easy on politics; once one side or another starts getting upset or uneasy, we simply change the conversation. On an online political forum, that isn't an easy option to do.

I just wanted to ask our cappies here; what draws you to revleft?[quote] I enjoy the interchange with the really vibrant, intelligent and thoughtful and wellmeaning posters onRevLeft.
[quote]Do you enjoy our online community of fine individuals (restricted and/or non-restricted members)? Yea. So, what's it to you? :D
Do you just enjoy a widely diversified debate among individuals who's ideologies differ considerably from your own? Yes. As a Capitalist I GROW from new ideas--I'm always interested. Hopefully a Capitalist's mind is never closed to innovation.
Or do you just like yelling/flamming at socialists? I really work had to be congenial and friendly to everyone no matter what youey say to me. I'm here to learn and not to fight.
Or is it something else? Well, there's the hot Commie babes that are atracted to me like flies to poop.
I'm just curious as to why a cappie would stick around for so long. I know that I would never be able to stand a cappie of fascist forum; even for the purpose of debate or flamming. I will never learn anything by listening to what people agree with me say. I learn a heck of a lot from people with new ideas--good bad or indiferent--I'm here to learn.

I have liberal friends (no Commies--much harder to find.) but I NEVER go easy on anyone. Life is too short not to get the most out of everyone and give the most to everyone.
Good questions.

Its a long story but theres a thread in the CC right now about me being unrestricted so we'll see what happens. Basically certain people think I am anti-choice when I'm not.
