Hi everyone :lol:
I'm a student in Toronto at Ryerson University, going into first year Political Science. I gained interest in the political world after listening to Immortal Technique, a "revolutionary" political/conscious rapper (most notorious song, Dance With the Devi, who threw out some conspiracy theories (NWO and Illuminate) but also some legitimate criticism of the US and the consequences of policies that it carries out, foreign and domestic. I have since been enthralled at the world; colonial histories and contemporary geo-politics. Through all my reading (avid visiter of websites such as counterpunch.org, informationclearinghouse.info, democracynow.org and CHOMSKY.info) I have assumed the left wing position, which I feel is more people oriented and less corporate ball licking.
Anyways I'll be happy to get to know you all and share my beliefs etc with you. Hopefully I can add to the community!
By the way, I'm not sure if support for other websites is frowed upon here, but the other website I frequent is RevolutionaryHipHop.org (RevHH.org), where people with a common interest in music share their political, social and economic views. Feel free to see whats going on at our end.
