I watched the documentary by John Pilger Japan behind the mask (1987), anyone else watch this? I was taken back by the amount of class division that existed in Japan in the 80's before their recession and odds are living standards are even worse now. After watching it I can't see how any capitalists can point to Japan as being a example of capitalism working, with most workers long hours for little pay and a growing army of unemployed.
