Ok, sorry, new thread, I wrote the name wrong in the last one.
(sorted now ~Holden)

How should we view this organisation? Are they a fascist front group for the BNP, who should be attacked as such? They claim to be open and tolerant, allowing membership to anyone, regardless of race, creed, etc. They have claimed they'd even allow communists to join. I'm confused by the fact that they say they're not racist, but others say they are.
Are they definatly a BNP front group? How should we deal with them?

The BNP has links to solidarity plastered over their website so they are either a BNP front or at best they are in political cahoots.

They are rampantly anti-leftist and anti-immigrant.

I'm pretty sure it's a racist front organisation for the BNP and NF and all those types. they advocate a sound strategic approach but their policies on member ship and their racism makes the disgusting and worth attacking

100% a BNP front group. Its been proven (i'll try and dig up the link) but they deny this.

So their claims of allowing people into the union regardless of race/ religion, creed, politics etc. is bullshit?

I'm fairly sure they named it after the Polish Solidarnosc, which was anti-communist adn nationalist.

Solidarity is very clearly a BNP front and is, at the moment, under investigation by the TU Certification Office. Link to more info here (http://lancasteruaf.blogspot.com/2008/05/tu-certification-office-investigating.html).

I remember reading the BNP website in the past, the BNP claiming credit for founding solidarity... I'm not sure it's even a "front group" if the BNP are so open about it.

There's nothing progressive about them; should they ever gain any prowess in influencing the political system they would merely be bastions of protectionism to artifically elevate the standing of British workers than to actually change the system.

They are a BNP front group pretty much. Im pretty sure some BNP top brass were involved in setting up the group.

I think it's quite funny that they state they are 'in the style of the IWW & CNT' on their homepage. The fascists are now stealing anarchist/leftist Union ideas.

I suspect that's mainly because the IWW and the CNT are the masters of shizzzz, ANARCHO SYNDICALISM FTW!!!!!!!

polish. oh the irony

I read an article about them in the IWW magazine, I almost cried with laughter when I read about their similarities with Solidarnosc. it's so wrong on so many levels!

So their claims of allowing people into the union regardless of race/ religion, creed, politics etc. is bullshit?

This stated position is probably just so it can appear to not break UK and EU laws regarding discrimination.

I imagine that if any non-white person tried to join, other members would make it as difficult as possible for them to join, or continue being members, and if applicable find arbitrary reasons to expel them.
