After the revolution what is going to happen to all the private businesses?
Would people be able to choose there occupations?
And with Socialism, what would be socialized? Like healthcare and education, is there a specific list?

They would be destroyed I imagine.
Would people be able to choose there occupations?
If someone is good and qualified for something, why not let them do it?
And with Socialism, what would be socialized? Like healthcare and education, is there a specific list?
Whatever is considered a "necessity". So food, health care, education and shelter.
btw, If I got anything wrong, feel free to correct me.

After the revolution what is going to happen to all the private businesses? They keep the store, however it will be pointless since money is not the faction to live on. Collectivization will deal with them if they are proved to give community good benefits.
Would people be able to choose there occupations?Yes, in addition to that, they still have to clean their mess to continue their hobby. Not a big deal to me.
And with Socialism, what would be socialized? Like healthcare and education, is there a specific list? Healthcare, Public Transportation, Education, Any place that produce produce.

Well depends on the size of the private businesses, our priorities are the major industries, not the minor ones. Of course than in the end we hope that even small private businesses are un existing, and unnecesary.
Yes people will choose their ocupations, in fact they will be the ones in charge of the economy, not just a small elite.
like i said before, major industries area priority so they are the ones that should be put under workers control first, and yes basic stuff like health care and education too.

Of course, though its a bit more complicated then that. Socialism, at least in the libertarian/anarchist version of it would destroy most division between occupations. You would perform of a mix of tasks associated with your chosen skill set and what sort of unpleasant, necessary jobs needed to get done. So if you liked and studied building things, and meteorology. You may split your time between construction, engineering and watching weather radar.

Only a sick and twisted person would replace every restaurant with government made cafeteria food.
It's a complicated issue, but people should be allowed to provide a good or service privately on some scale.
Would people be able to choose there occupations?
This is a very tricky question. Many commies assume everyone will want to work. Capitalism allows for the accumulation of Capital (obviously) and a person can choose not to have an occupation.
And I agree. If you want to smoke pot on the beach and listen to led zep all day that's great. You won't even need the capital.
And with Socialism, what would be socialized? Like healthcare and education, is there a specific list?
No.

They'd stop being private.
Would people be able to choose there occupations?
People would have access to the means of production --- some people fail to ponder the literal implications of this other than the simple phrase 'socio-economic equality'. This would mean you would be in a position where you can pursue professional careers in which you are skilled in, and, ideally, enjoy. Proficient education would be socialized, the resources would be available to you in times of economic abundance (which wouldn't be scarce, is in these times all people are associated producers) and you could pursue this career. So yes, I'm absolutely sure the freedom of career would be very present -- in fact, it is totally inseparable with the socio-economic implications of a Socialist system.
And with Socialism, what would be socialized? Like healthcare and education, is there a specific list?
In a word, everything...
But most importantly, the means of production, shelter, transportation, education, healthcare, food, things of that sort. The necessities.
