I do have an interest in politics but yet I don't have an official ideology that I belong to. I've been reading books about socialists and I like some of the ideas. I suppose I consider myself more of a leftist than a right winger and I hope I enjoy my time here.

Of course you can - some of our most well liked, respected and active members, mods and admins are Trotskyists and Stalinists.

Ok red however when i say stalin is king and trotskys cool i get attacked by both sides.
i meant stalinist-trotskyist like together?

Well I think they both had interesting ideas and both had their down falls. I can see why you can be attacked as it's easy for one to become devote to one ideology but don't be disheartened at that, neither Stalin or Trosky would be;).

When they attack each other, it's typically:
A. Horseplay
B. Hero-worshipers who don't really get it.

No one single philosophy is infallible.
