Comrades!:)

My friend is a good writer and a history buff, with a lot of knowledge on the subject. It was he who introduced me to communism, he's currently working on a book that gives a leftist perspective on important historical events, and so on.

Do people here know of any good, open-minded leftist publishers, because the subject matter is quite controversial:(, and only a leftist publisher may be bold enough to appreciate it.

Anyway, please do let me know, it's one way of spreading awareness, by writing on the matter.:)

Hey!, does anyone know if those ABC books from Progress Publishers (of USSR in the '80s, i.e., "What is Marxism-Leninism?", "What is Socialism?") are anywhere available? They were like little catechisms of Soviet propag -- eh -- ideology. I loved them! :)

A comrade of mine has a back-catalogue of almost every work published by Progress Publishers, but I doubt he's willing to sell them on.

If you don't have a decent, local, non-Trotskyist left-wing book shop, I would try Amazon, it's surprising what you can pick up on that.

^^^ Too bad they're anarchist-literature-only. :(

Yeh they're focused on anarchism, but they publish stuff basically to do with whats considered 'radical' ideas (a term I myself is strange - capitalists are radical, socialists are the normal ones!), so gloablisation and animal rights, feminism, all the sort of left wing ideas which aren't given much attention by the mainstream. :)
