Everyone comes to this section "Socialism vs. Capitalism" with the intent to argue and essentially "win" the debate for their side. This isnt a very good learning environment. No one ever tries to learn, especially if the expense is ones own ego. People wont admit to being wrong; and furthurmore people have this crazy notion that if your wrong about one thing your wrong about everything. Thats bullshit. Anyways this just propagates misunderstanding, e.j. I dont want to look bad so I only post my strongest points, instead of the idea as a whole. This misunderstanding leads to more problems.

Please try to understand the position of the socialist, not poke small wholes and claim victory. Almost every Socialist grew up a Capitalist (because we live in capitalististic societies). It's time you look at things from our point of view. Also notice how Capitalist become Socialist, but almost never the other way around. I dont understand how you can defend capitalism, why not claim you are a mix and not pure capitalist. There is no argument over capitalistic policies. Yet socialist vary greatly (commies, marxist, maoist etc. etc.)

But really, I think you are right. I find it unlikely, however, that the idealistic enviornment you described would exist in this world.


Also notice how Capitalist become Socialist, but almost never the other way around.

actually, lots of lefties have become righties. It happens to tons of kids who were anarchist punks but grow up...

These "anarchist punks" dont really believe in Anarchism, they just want to be differant. Read the ABC's of Communist Anarchism to get a real perspective on this subject.

sorry to brek your tide, but the main propuse of socialism is communism, socialism is the fundations of communism...
therefore i find it quite funny for you to say that...

unless ofcourse you are a pseudo-socialist, and your ideal of socialism is a representative democracy, controled by the burguase, and therefore not socialist........
