This is fucking appalling. This scumbag, an evil woman, who is repsonsible for the deaths of many soliders in a war started to hold her position of Power, an evil woman who is responsible for the poverty of millions of people in the UK and abroad, a woman who made many in this country and elsewhere believe that it is acceptable to strive for personal gain regardless of any consequences, is to get a state funeral.

For those people who live in countries where such a phenomenon does not exist, a state funeral is a large procession through the streets of the deceased's body, with the route being lined by the armed forces, while the public stand by to mourn the passing of the said dead person.

Previously, this event has been held for figures such as Royals, Charles Darwin and Winston Churchill.

If you don't know about Thatcher, look her up. Anyone on this forum would certainly come to the conclusion of many that she was a tyrant, and a scumbag.

The money used to host this funeral comes from the government. This money comes form the people, paid by tax. This the costs of blocking off the roads, and the deployment of police, ambulances and soliders along the route. Our money will be spent on this *****. This is sickening. She threw many people into poverty, and now we pay for some sick celebration of her death? The government wont allow demonstrations to pass Downing Street, they wont spend much needed money on public services, but they will spend time and money allowing the rotten corpse of this rotten woman to pass through our streets.

I expect a huge demonstration against this, and I will be part of it.

No, I just searched for one and I'm fairly certain that its on some other forum.

Of course she'll get a state funeral, she was a former Prime Minister. It isn't like the bourgeois will say "Oh man, she's really bad, lets not honor her."

Not every Prime Minister gets a state funeral like they're saying she'll get.

She was the first woman PM, served for quite a long time, is amped up as being 'historic', etc. She was a horrible PM from what I've heard and put many people in poverty. In the USA, a lot of 'Reagan Conservatives' love her since she helped Reagan fight 'Communism'.

She was and is massively unpopular amongst the working class, so any state funeral would just be some sort of unwanted annoyance and a magnet for people wanting to disrupt it. It would be best, for the bourgeois at least, if she was just buried in some graveyard somewhere without all the ceremony of a state funeral.

She didn't believe the state had a role in the welfare of people's lives...so i think i speak for everyone when i say "fuck that *****...she was human garbage anyway".

Yes, we do. I'm not sure where though

She, unfortunately, isn't dead yet :(

Prime ministers don't usually get state funerals; it's the sort of thing supposedly reserved for national 'heroes', supposedly.

Damnit, when I read the title of this thread I was hoping she died. :(

Still, it may not be such bad news if you read it as "look, see, you'll get a state funeral - now hurry up and die already."

Shes like 83 and not in the best of health, so we shouldn't be waiting much longer.

Doesn't she have Alzheimers? (Just like Reagan did, only he had it while in office) That tends to kill you after a while, especially since you don't do much after a while (Reagan couldn't get out of bed and had to be spoonfed by 2000 IIRC), accelerating death.

I don't know, but she did have a few strokes a while ago.

Of course, she will never die. Pure evil never does.

Damnit, when I read the title of this thread I was hoping she died. :(Yeah, that's exactly what I thought, that she keeled over.

Well, this isn't going to be surprising. Reagan and John Paul II got large funerals, and Pinochet and Suharto got off easy. Yeltsin has a memorial draped in the Pan-Slavic Tricolor with guards protecting it. This butcher will no doubt get it easy too. I hope the protests at the funeral will be huge, that is if security isn't so tight you can't sneeze without being handcuffed.

there is another thread i started, which also had the link to a Class War arranged party to be held after she dies in London.

we can all sing ding dong the witch is dead!

all comrades who can should protest the funeral, she held up Pinochet and ruined our society, country and world,

Did noone see my poem in the creative writing thread?

(A bit premature, but meh:D)

Ding dong the witch is dead
In the end no good word was said

Here lies Margaret Thatcher
Horrible little milk snatcher

After all is said and done
In the end the left has won

Now she lies rotting in the ground
We wont miss having her around

Me and some friends have had our celebration for when she dies planned for years now (it will involve much beer and singing of "Ding Dong, the witch is dead). Frankly when she dies, I will be so happy that I will probably only be mildly outraged about her funeral.

Hopefully if she gets a State Funeral it will not go well though.

I was discussing this with a comrade just the other day.

On the day the news of her death is released, everyone in Britain should gather in the main square of their town at 6pm sharp with flags, banners, placards, stereos (and a large supply of food and drink).

Comrades outside of Britain could gather at their local British embassy or consulate.

Big parties on the day of her death would be brilliant. And we should try as hard as we can to fuck up any state funeral there is.

I am an American and I know of the evil that radiates from Thatcher. She is like England's Regan.
I think I will try to get a few leftie friends together and crack a few beers to her death.

The embassy is a bit far away though, I have to say, hehe (Seattle probably has the closest one 5-6 hours away)

I wouldn't want to make compost of that body to have plants feed on it, the thought of a state funeral is revolting to say the least...

Not as disgusting as Pinochet, Suharto, or even Helms, but still not somebody anybody aside from their immediate loved ones should miss...I would not shed a tear if some Saud family members (Sand Fascists) were to give up the ghost in the near future.

60% of the UK fucking hated her, but she won power because Westminster ranks with Hong Kong and the U.S. Electoral College when it comes to shitty electoral systems.

Even if I were not a leftist, I would not cry for Thatcher. Why is one reactionary life worth more than 1,000,000 people in chains for its sake?

for all the people who asked if people REALLY still hate Thatcher here is a letter i chanced across in my local newspaper.

I well remember reading years aho where on a weekly basis, some yong man, unemployed and without hope, couldn't take any more and hanged himself.

Those were the days when whole industries were shut down, communities destroyed and families left with no future.

The evil architect of this was Margret Thatcher. Now, to add insult to injury, the taxpayer is being asked to foot the bill for a lavish funeral for this destroyed of lives. Ask the miners, shipyard workers, dockers, car workers and nurses if she deserves one. Ask her Tory friends and 'capitains of industry' whom she made billionaires, while relegating tens of thousands to the dole queue, whether they would like to pay for it.

I for one will be having a very large drink to celebrate her demise and if they give me a shovel I'll dig the hole to put her in.
