I find it very amuzing when Americans claim to have a good army. True you have all the Gung Ho bastards who bravely charge off in the name of god and all that is American. But it does not take away from the fact that they usually get slaughtered, by poorly trained and under equipt "terrorists" (ANY ONE WHO DISAGREE'S WITH THE US). What is the most ammuzing thing is that the Delta Force receves less combat training than British standard troops. This is genarally shown by the persentage of losses incurred by US forces in the last 50 years.

I mean even the FRENCH who are famed for running away from the best defences they have ever had the good fortune to have.

Amenrican troops also seam to have an annoying habit of killing more of their own troops and allies than the opposition.

I think both of these feelings are contradictory. To say "all europeans hate Americans" is the same as saying "all Americans are stupid" (or whatever).

I stuck in the "goddamn" to represent how the views are expressed (in the instances to which I refer), i.e. the complaints about "anti-Americanism" generate (or are over-exposed due to) feelings of "anti-Europeanism".

For Americans, it depends. They have some of the best fighters in the world, but sorry CI, a lot of americans, especially the rich ones tend to be *****es.
For Brazilians, all I know is that I used to know this black guy from Brazil, and he did Brazilian martial arts and trust me, could kick anybody's ass. So I would have to agree that the brazilians are some tough motherfuckers.
For the French, I have never met one who not only was a *****, but tried to act like he was a tough guy.

OK, OK, look, dude. I am willing to take off the gloves for a second in the interest of putting a damper on these escalating hostilities. At this point, we both are merely making assumptions, stereotyping, and insulting.

From what it sounds like your backround (socially, not politically) is not much different than mine. I was also an OT at my high scool in Sacramento, and I was the varsity heavyweight wrestler as well. I hung around a core group of frinds, about 5-8 people. We were very tight, and most of them were apolitical also.

My comments in this thread were of course faceteous. I am admittedly provacative when I don't have as much time to post, and my boredom sometimes takes precedence over my better judgement. As I said before, at times I have a tendancy to perpetuate a caricature of myself rather than the real "debating me" sometimes, and for that I apologize. When I am at my other comp and can be more comprehensive you should notice that my submissions are more factual, and of substance. Some of my previous posts should illustrate this.

I am interested in continuing in a more civil dialogue focusing on politics and socio-economics, not blind insults.
