I think the US tries to impliment Democratic Republics(not Democracy's persay) to struggling nations, and defend those that exist. The core of the US's intentions really aren't as sinister as some would have you believe I think.

Yeah, I agree. The US always tries to install democracies. Pinochet never lost an election, right? Everyone loved the Taliban, that is why we funded them over the democratically elected communist-coalition government.

But I agree, TK, some US aid programs are wonderful and alot of people couldn't do without them but if you look at these things objectively it isn't hard to see that what we give (in the last few decades) is a pitance when you compare what other developed countries reach into their pockets to give. I've seen all the numbers saying that the US gives more foriegn aid than any other country in history but how much of that is due to the fact that we give more in military funding to Israel than any country has ever given another country for any reason at any time in history?

"But we sure are rebuilding it!"

Aint that the truth! Thats why I can open a major media publication and listen to U.S army officials admit that since the American backed afghan government has taken power Afghanistan has become the #1 heroin exporter in the world. Also the regime has already played a major role in crushing peaceful student protests. A couple months back 3 protesters were killed I cant put my finger on the name i think there may have been an article on this very site but I think I also read it in Z mag. These brutal police techniques were brought to you by the U.S security forces who train the police and how they deal with protesters....

Something you are forgetting about Afganistan.

It was the US gov. in the first place that started to support and train "freedom fighters" like Osama Bin Laden way back in 1979 untill 1989.

So yes, this is part of their policy: Destroy and then come back by installing a military base and building one school.

Notice: At the site you see that they spend $840 million dollar, but spent $5 Billion in support to "freedom fighters". Everyone knows that $840 million is nothing, because destructing with $5 Billion is easyer than building with $840 million.

"Aint that the truth!"
Oh im glad you agree with the truth!

"Thats why I can open a major media publication and listen to U.S army officials admit that since the American backed afghan government has taken power Afghanistan has become the #1 heroin exporter in the world."

So whats does that mean? The US isn't BACKING herion exportation. Drugs are problem everywhere, Especially in collapsing nations.

"Also the regime has already played a major role in crushing peaceful student protests. A couple months back 3 protesters were killed I cant put my finger on the name i think there may have been an article on this very site but I think I also read it in Z mag."

These events aren't backed by the US government. They shot protesters. They didn't use "burtal police techniques brought on by US forces." Anyone can go shot a protester, it doesn't take a technique.

"These brutal police techniques were brought to you by the U.S security forces who train the police and how they deal with protesters."

What are you talking about? Brutal techniques? You don't even know the techniques do you?

You haven't even given the US a CHANCE to rebuild afghanistan. Just wait another 5 years, and then we'll see what state it's in.

Something you are forgetting about Afganistan.

"It was the US gov. in the first place that started to support and train "freedom fighters" like Osama Bin Laden way back in 1979 untill 1989."

And... That force was intiated to stave off a soviet invasion. our only mistake was not helping Afhganistan rebuild, which we are making up for now.

"So yes, this is part of their policy: Destroy and then come back by installing a military base and building one school."

What? What are you talking about?

"Notice: At the site you see that they spend $840 million dollar, but spent $5 Billion in support to "freedom fighters". Everyone knows that $840 million is nothing, because destructing with $5 Billion is easyer than building with $840 million."

840 million dollars is just the start of our support. It's not like the US said, "ok here's your 840 mil cya!"

You haven't even given it a chance! I'm not really that suprised though...
