Hey everyone. The MarxistEconomics.com website has recently been launched - it's got a number of features including lessons and courses, lists of articles on different economic themes, a forum for the discussion of marxist economics and links to the marxist classics. It's still in the development stages right now and is being constantly updated - watch this space!

Looks great thus far. However it's a bit of a shame that it is associated with (or run by) the IMT :(

If you ask me Zeitgeist, any association with the IMT can only be a strength
Everyone, do follow LedZep's lead and sign up to the forum. As courses start going up the creators of the website are going to need feedback.

Right.... I'll take that as sarcasm
Anyway, my point is it pisses me off to see potentially great sources of information influenced by what ever sects bias. You only need look so far as the Marxist Internet Archive, which even despite not being associated with any party suffers from tremendous Trot bias and really drags down a valuable resource.
Here again we have a potentially authoritative source of information for those interested in and seeking information on Marxian Economics, which will like more than likely suffer from trot bias. Such a shame.

I can assure you that it wasn't sarcasm. The content of the articles is of a high quality: the ideas put forward on (for example) what causes capitalist crises are of a serious nature and represent a genuine contribution to marxism.
For revolutionaries of course Marxism is'nt a purely academic discipline - it is a tool for changing the world - and for that reason it is inevitable that a study of marxist economics would be linked with the building of a genuine marxist tendency.
It should be left to the intelligence of the individual browsing the site to decide whether or not the method and execution of the website, and the quality of the ideas found there are a reflection of the ideas and methods of the IMT more generally. I would say they are.
