It's not illegal to find the disruption of state funerals amusing.
I for one would totally crease if Thatcher the Milk Snatcher's funeral procession got fucked about with.

Lady Thatcher, Britain’s only woman Prime Minister who served 11 years from 1979, would be the first commoner to receive the honour of a state funeral since Sir Winston Churchill in 1965.Mrs. Thatcher, you have not earned what Mr. Churchill did, although I am not in any way defending Winnie.
However, WWII > Falklands.

Wasn't Churchill a reactionary piece of shit anyway? Didn't he once say something in the 1950s about gassing "savages"? That sounds a bit much even for the 1950s.

Well no one should be surprise to find that the British State wants to honour "reactionary pieces of shit".
I hope someone blows her coffin up!

I know that I am very out of touch with popular opinion, but do a significant number of people really care any more? Is there a significant amount, enough to disrupt it, who want to mess up her funeral?

Probably not as much as there would have been 10 or 15 years ago, but a lot of the old miners are still alive, as are their families. I think that any state funeral of Thatcher's would be mostly attended by Tories and the rich. It probably wouldn't be a very popular idea.

you assholes. I was so excited when I saw the thread title I almost creamed myself. Discussing Margaret Thatcher's death when she's not a corpse yet: Talk about a cocktease.

Don't worry, her death is pretty much imminent. I bet she'll die in the next year or two.

you as a leftist should care, her twisted rule is still leaving massive waves across domestic politics. She supported Pinochet, she crushed the miners strikes, she wanted us to all exploit each other and be hyper cappies, she used the police force as a weapon of state opression in a way uncommon for the modern times in the UK,
think of it this way she has a lot of support in the NF etc.. thats how good she is,
