now you capitalists, would you consider the present US as your capitalism of choice, or do you keep it real and like the pre-progressive earlly 1900's? with monopoloys, children working, death in the work place, poor exsploited imigrants, which I would consider much more capitlistic, and much more free market, if you could try not to attack my defentions, I just want an awnser and a comment maybe, thanks

I would consider the present US capitalism much better, of course. The present US system has evolved and is still evolving. I believe that even a nation as free as the US does need to have a very minimum, albiet necessary, structure of government enforcement to help level the free-market playing field, and guarantee right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

I of course (not really much of a capitalist or socialist, I would consider my self a evoloving mindset on the whole thing, more so as a humanist) would consider now much better, and I agree, it is evoloving, I feel however with enron ect ect.. we are getting right back into the early 1900's but again no one realizes it, its sort of like the great gatsby all over again, you have the rich keep being rich while the poor, (internet web site stock investors ect...) feeling the brunt of the whole thing, anyone else see this?
I just asked this Q to begine with becuase my point is Ayn Rand followers and other laiz fair people dont relize they already had as much of a chance as there ever going to get at there system, and it didnt work, it was misrable, ask any industrial revolution factory worker of england ect ect.. I didnt want to make a debate out of this so I will just stop before I get crazy anarcho's babling there unreasonalbe idology at me
