Was that Rico on the horn I saw? Seeing Jerry after all these years and hearing the new take on his song has really made me even more excited about seeing The Specials all together again . I hope I can .

Yep, that was Rico on trombone.
Have heard that Terry Hall's manager doesn't want Jerry Dammers involved in The Specials reunion and also that Neville Staples won't do it if Jerry isn't involved. Also Roddy Radiation posted on his site that there will be an annoucment made shortly about the reunion - " I may have some news on the re-confederacy soon*
but probably not what some of you want? but maybe a chance to hear,n,see something you have been waiting 20+ yrs for.. "

My guess is that if the reunion does go ahead it won't be the full band.

Actually Jerry Dammers was one of my well I guess you could say "idols" when I was a teenager(..Sorry Morrissey)

My friend gave me a Specials tape in the 80's and I thought it was the most amazing thing I had ever heard.

Yeah, they did seem to be getting close to a reunion. They even had all 7 members at one rehearsal (but not at the same time due to the fact that Neville had a gig one the same day and Roddy & Horace were delayed).

Must admit I wasn't really keen on seeing a Specials reunion. Don't get me wrong as I love the band. But The Specials (like The Jam & The Clash) are one of those bands who should never reform. This reunion seemed to me to be all about money something that the original Specials weren't.

yeah guess you are right, altough i saw a performance by the two tone all stars a couple off years back with members off the selecter, specials and the beat and that was friggin awsome.
and i also realy liked the recent tours of the beat, selecter and even madness, but than again i'm to young to have seen them the first time around so i'll take everything i can get.
