i borrowed the idea from that, the compass represents the scientists and mathematicians.

its borrowed from the East German flag and the circle in the middle is the technocracy ouroboros.

great flag,but no hammer,why?

didnt feel it was compatible with the technocracy theme as the compass.

But a sickle? What better symbol of "back breaking labor" carried out by an illiterate, superstitious peasant class than the tool of a rural, agrarian, and feudal past?

good point, but i still think aesthetically the sickle looks so damn cool.

More Fire and Dean are being pathetic fucking trolls.

The Monad/Compass looks a little cluttered and I agree with MS on the Sickle, but it's not the worst effort I've seen for flag designs.

I still can't emphasise enough how aggravating the trolling is here.

the compass represents the scientists and mathematicians

So your ideology calls for the unity of the scientists and mathematicians with the... peasants in order to have a succesful revolution?

Well, that's new!

Why the grey half? Ive seen red and black, but never red and gray. Frankly, the gray makes it look a bit dull.

The grey symbolizes the OP's technology worship.

Knock the fucking trolling off already, Dean. You know grey is the colour of technocracy, or at least you would if you didn't put your fingers in your ears and continue to spew bullshit, just like the little child you act like.

...

Here are a couple of alternatives for consideration:

Does the background colouring symbolise anything or is it just a stylised dawn (which is still an awesome idea, don't get me wrong)?

I would combine the wheel with the compass, rather than use the sickle.

circle in the middle is the technocracy ouroboros.

It's kinda reminiscent of the Yin and Yang symbol, though...

I missed this earlier. An ouroboros is a serpent eating its tail, the symbol sometimes used to represent technocracy is a monad.

It's probably closer to the ancient symbol of balance (the monad's use by technocracy inc. was used to indicate the equilibrium in production and consumption they were aiming for). I'm not sure why red and yellow were chosen by UA, perhaps it was to show a departure from traditional technology into socialist technocracy.

The stylised dawn over the green Earth could perhaps symbolise a union between nature and human knowledge, which increasingly illuminates the world just like the dawn does.

Let's just hope the twilight never comes. :D
