How can you call an idea horse shit if you can't disprove it

we can prove that races aren't superior than others

we can prove that men aren't superior to women

but you can't disprove religion.

It's a decision that the children should make dor themselves.

If the debate is deadlocked then people should decide for themselves

neither of us can give enough evidence to prove our case.

So the children should make up their own minds.

alright its becoming a trend, so until i am either completely wiped off this board or unrestricted, i will simply post responses here. This will also give the capitalists a chance to add their 2 cents if necessary.

Now Lardlad, you claim religion cant be disproved. The funny thing is, the only proof it exists is " God works in mysterious ways." So while a scientist may have a detailed analysis of why something happens, the religious view is "god works in mysterious ways."

Now, i cant think of worse child abuse then introducing them to this kind of hogwash and garbage. If they cant think analytically, then they revert. They become the blind serfs of Russia who would fight to the dead for the czar yet were treated like dirt. They would become the Western European peasants who would follow their "divine" monarchs straight to hell if ordered to do so.

Is this what you want? Of all people, it should be me who wants this and you who want it done away with.

And if religion is a real thing, then so is race, and so is male superiority to females. They all are similar.

A desicion children shoul,d make?? LOL!

Children should not be making such desicions. You are asking a child to think deeply abouta philosopical matter when the childs deepest interest is toy cars or dolls. Religion should not be even introduced to anyone not deemed intellectaually capable of seeing through it. It also should be introduced as "myth." it should be laughed at like we laugh at the ancient Greeks and their hercules and hephasteus.

Forgive any grammar mistakes i have made as Lysenko, the keyboard i am using is extremely poor quality, with flat keys and very low sensitivity.

scientists can come up with how things happen and come up with theorys to explain them, however science doesn't explain why the fuck any of it needed to happen, that's philosophy's job.

we laugh at the ancient Greeks

No one laughs at the ancient Greeks. They still have ideas worth learning from.

actually it does, its the cause and efect theory, something hapens because something else provoked it, there is no such thing as "reason" just causes and efects... its called evolution, or maby you prefer the explanation: "because god wanted that way.."?

Engel bless marxism and the dialectical filosophy for saving us fromm theism.....

you inspired me, i will now read some chapters from my "marxist leninist manual"

first i will say, that if you do not laugh at ancient greek mythology and the garbage they believed in(zeus, etc), then you really need to be in a mental hospital. Stay away from us normals.

Moskitto, philosophy and religion dont mix. When they do, it results in (resulted in) Socrates taking hemlock, or large scale burnings at the steak.

I don't laugh at it; I certainly don't believe in it. I find it pretty interesting.

What I'm referring to is how much the ancient Greeks contributed to our society today.

Greeks had all the first mathematicians, the first philosophers, the first...well, just about fuckin' everything.

Well, i find it interesting, but isnt it hilarious to think someone actually believed it? I mean, it is fascinating, but... come on now.

I laugh at greek mythology as well. It's very odd, in my opinion, but so are most religions. I find the whole concept quite silly.

Now Lardlad, you claim religion cant be disproved. The funny thing is, the only proof it exists is " God works in mysterious ways.

Apparently you have never heard of the cosmological, ontological, or teleological arguments for the existence of god. Most theologians adhere to one of the three main arguments for god's existence. Only a fool would except "god works in mysterious ways" as a supporting argument for the existence of god. Those who would leave it at that are probably the type of sheep who blindly obey religious doctorines without thorough investigation, the unthinking masses who are easily manipulated.

Lysenko

Yes, and but the few theologans do not account for the entire masses. Very few religious people delve that far. They simply accept everything as god's plan.

Just because a handful of people have the ability to "prove" god's existance(i am confident science could do something to smash these proofs as well) doesnt mean religion is somehow better. Unquestioning faith in some deity is dangerous. Look at the Middle East.

The unthinking masses should be then forced to think. Questioning their beliefs... and so forth.

(i am confident science could do something to smash these proofs as well)

science can't, they deal with concepts outside of science, science is theories of how things work, not the truth, likewise religion is theories of why things work, not the truth, when will people realise this?

The unthinking masses should be then forced to think. Questioning their beliefs... and so forth.

then i suggest you should read prof. Russell Stannard, afterall the unthinking masses should be forced to question their beliefs,
