This is an excellent listing and project of all Communist related articles on wikipedia. Hopefully Revleft users will be able to use this as a foundation to contribute to Marxist theoretical articles on wikipedia and eventually gain the numbers and influence to counter the strongly anti-Marxist bias on wikipedia. Wikipedia is in fact generally harsher on figures like Mao Tse Tung, Lenin or Che, than "mainstream" Brittanica.`

If only it were that simple. There are organized efforts to push certain agendas on wiki by people with apparently nothing better to do. Many of them from their large contributions and long time membership in the community have come to dominate the editorial process. Check out electronic intifada's expose of a zionist group planning a concerted effort to slant wikipedia's editorial bias to ensure content favorable to their point of view. I can't post links yet but you can easily find the relevant info by searching for "electronic intifada" and "camera".
There is a similar controversy going on in the spanish version of wikipedia, you can find some translated articles on the topic at machetera.wordpress.com under the "internet freedom" category
The Zionist issue has been the most prominent over the past year or so but in my opinion is only a small part of a wider phenomenon. As was mentioned earlier wikipedia suffers from a severe editorial slant against the radical left. I would characterize the overall bias of wikipedia as "neoliberal" in both libertarian and American "left" liberal forms, and this shouldn't be surprising seeing as these are the most well-represented political opinions on the net. Many articles related to the history of communism, political theory, and economics show not only a strong pro-liberal and pro-capitalist bias but a specifically laissez-faire and pro-American one.

I would encourage all members here to establish a Wikipedia account and make contributions on Marxist related topics.
The site (unfortunately) is far too influential to just be ignored.
Also as long as you cite your addition, it will usually not be removed.

It's clearly biased. And it is no surprise, Jim Wales is an "Objectivist" [sic]. The typical contributor is bureaucratic fuck.
