View Full Version : Christmas in America - A Great Day for Capitalism

I want to wish everyone (yes even the leftist pukes) a very Merry Christmas. Make sure that you go out and buy as many consumer products as you can, and do your part to contribute to the American economy (or your respective nation's capitalist economy.

Let us not forget that while the true meaning of Christmas is joy, friendship, and sharing, the commercial and economic aspects of the Holiday are also very important in our current era.

Merry Christmas to all
And to all, Saddam Bites

What you speak of CI, is X-mas. It's about money, depression, and trying to impress people you don't like. It springs up from the European Corruption of Christianity, be it either from pagan sources (which isn't so much to blame) or for their greed for artificial capital. You seem to put a lot of faith in material things CI, your really gonna miss out on life then, because if you die with the most toys, your still dead.

A merry Xmas to you too CI. :)

However, I beg to differ. Christmas shows some of the very worst aspects of capitalism. It's consumerism at its very worst, corporations milking this festival for all its worth, buying up its religious aspect and forcing products into people's hands. You watched a television in the last couple of months?? If so, then you must have seen the horrific advertising on it. Parents, desperate to please their brainwashed kids, end up spending hundreds of pounds/dollars on some plastic toy deliberately designed to break within a couple of months...it's disgusting. I hate Christmas.

Nice post SuicideisPainless.

It isn't a long time ago (In fact I joined in 3 days ago) that I joined the che-lives communty, so I don't know that what I say is true but I think CI is a real capitalist, and thinks material shit is the most important in the world.

You're a sad fucker. Those aspects are sickening and are not important.

"So you can't blame the youths when they don't learn, you can't fool the youths.
You can't blame the youths of today, you can't fool the youths.

When every Christmas come, you buy the youths a pretty toy gun.
When every Christmas comes around, you buy the youths a fancy toy gun.

So you can't blame the youths when they get back, you can't fool the youths.
You can't blame the youths of today, you can't fool the youths."

Umoja, if you die with the most friends, you're still dead.
The resaon for life is not to attain the most material goods OR to love each other and achieve spirituality.
Merry Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, Ramadan, whatever! :)

LOL...much as I dislike the message of this post, you gotta love this guy's humour. I laugh at most capitalists, but for some reason, I find myself almost laughing with DC.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, it's totally wrong that an 11yrold should receive a gun as a present. ;)

You guys make me sick, further proof of the effect of Capitalism on Christianity. I see why Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas.

No, I am from the great state of Ohio.

Somehow I get the feeling that you think most people from this region of the country are nothing but gun-toting psycho rednecks. If thats the case, then I pity you. The majority of the people in this area that own guns are actually real decent folk.

Absolutely true, DC.

The same goes for Caifornia and Alaska. The vast majority of legal gun owners are highly responsible, good people.

Kudos to your family for introducing the rewarding practice of firearms to your nephew, and more importantly tempering that introduction with strict, responsible management and supervision of said firearms.

About Capitalists "hijacking" christmas....

First, a little history: Christmas was first hijacked by the christians! In the Roman Empire, many religions celebrated the winter solstice as the time of renewal, it was a time for food, sex, and wine. (Almost all Roman festivals had sex at some point.) The Christians, unable to combat the custom, decided to usurp it, and thus moved the celebration of Jesus's birth to Dec 25th, which incidentally goes against the testimony of the Bible. Christmas as is celebrated now goes back to the 19th century, when the post-civil war posterity produced enough wealth for people to celebrate and interchange gifts. Thus, the original meaning of the winter festival is largely restored in our Americanized "Christmas."

What a joke. The vast majority of people are irresponsible, bad people...why would this change if you buy a firearm?
