What we have here is an elected President trying to do away with the rules that put him there on the first place.
You have a man that is trying to "fix" a corrupt country with a corrupt-failed ideology: Socialism. This is like trying to replace dog piss with horse shit.
A man that supposedly stands for justice:
---has threatened to censor the press (only that press favorable to his Socialist govenment will be allowed).
---corruption has grown ever since Chavez took office.
---unemployment has grown.
---people that at that beginning wanted Chavez are beginning to turn away from him (ever since he said he wanted a "revolution" Cuban style).
---Peaceful demonstrators were violently attacked FIRST back in October for the first time---and the violence against the PEACEFUL marchers has been escalating ever since.
Well, this is what Socialism is all about. This is justice: Marxist style. Venezuela will show the world two things many already know: SOCIALISM DOESN'T WORK AND IT CAN ONLY REMAIN IN POWER BY FORCE.
Even Marx in his works calls for a "violent, bloody revolution" against the "present" system (so much for the peace loving Lefties). So since it's OK for you Socialists to use violence to achieve your goals, you don't mind if those that don't believe in Marx's outdated,
unrealistic vision of the "Utopia" use violence to defend themselves from the Leftwing leaches.

MaxB, think that Socialism is not easy to achieve, mostly because itīs hard for MOST people to UNDERSTAND welfare should be for EVERYBODY, not just for a few ones.

Donīt know about you, but personally I try my best, day after day, in a lot of ways, to create a world where EVERYBODY will finally be able to eat everyday, where finally everybody has a roof over their heads, the slightest oportunity to improve him/herself to become whom he/she wants to. And this is what Socialism is all about...

Just think for a minute of your own welfare... If you wouldnīt like everybody else to enjoy what you got, then, only THEN, you are a capitalist. And I say it because you seem really comfortable with your actual way of life.

Leftists are peace-loving people, specially in the sense that peaceful living doesnīt mean a status quo -for generations!- where some individuals are the oppressors and most of the other ones are the oppressed. Indeed, this situation NEEDS a revolution to happen, which was the main idea of Marx (and Cheīs, btw). A peaceful living can become reality when all of us are able to express our individual potentialities and at the same time not be dispiced by the other one because of it. Any other way, such as happens with capitalism, just doesnīt work (even if it LOOKS LIKE it works).

If my welfare DEPENDS ON THE MISFORTUNE of my neighbour, then I just donīt want, I just donīt NEED such "welfare".

HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE!
